About EEASC Mini Grants

EEASC grants, up to $300, are available to EEASC members. Formal and informal educators may apply to further environmental education and environmental literacy. Applications are judged solely on the information provided on this form. 

*Please note that an active EEASC membership is required to request a grant.

Basic Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an EEASC Grant, an individual and/or organization must:

  • Be a member, in good standing, of EEASC
  • Reside in South Carolina

Additionally, all projects must be completed in South Carolina.

We accept one proposal per individual/group, per grant cycle. Typical Grant: up to $300

Who is Eligible?

  • Agencies and private industry
  • Environmental communicators/educators (formal and non-formal)
  • Colleges and universities
  • SC public and private schools
  • Non-profit organizations

Grant Cycles and Submission Dates

  • Spring/summer grant applications must be received by June 1. Awards will be made by June 30; projects/final reports must be completed by December 31.
  • Fall/winter grant applications must be received by December 1. Awards will be made by December 31; projects/final reports must be completed by June 30.

Types of Grants Available

Service Grants

Under this grant program, EEASC seeks grant proposals from eligible applicants to support environmental education projects that promote environmental stewardship and help develop knowledgeable and responsible students, teachers, and citizens. This grant provides financial support for projects that design, demonstrate, and/or disseminate environmental education practices, methods, or techniques, and will serve as models that can be replicated in a variety of settings.

We look for innovative projects that produce measurable results. Your efforts should be quantifiable, with specific goals, objectives, and action plans, and should include measures for evaluating success.

Individuals and organizations must meet the basic criteria of the Environmental Education Association of South Carolina (EEASC) to be eligible for an Environmental Education grant.

Workshop/ Conference Grants

Workshop/Conference grants are provided to individuals seeking assistance to attend the EEASC Annual Conference or another environmental education workshop, training or conference.

Workshop/Conference Grants are awarded in amounts of up to $300 and may be used to cover registration, lodging and/or travel fees. Award will be reimbursed after travel.

Education Program Facilitator Grants

Program grants will be awarded to Education Program facilitators to assist them in purchasing the supplies needed to host their first educator workshop. Facilitator will need to submit receipts for reimbursement for one-time supply purchases only (storage containers, scissors, etc.).

  • Project WET 
  • Project Learning Tree 

This is a one-time award and will be awarded in amounts up to $300.
